This Personal Data Processing Policy defines the procedure for processing and protecting the personal data of users of the pogoda.ru website, Pogoda.ru mobile applications for iOS and Android, and other related services, interfaces, and features.

- technical information necessary to process the request.
5.2. The Operator does not aim to process special categories of personal data, including information on racial or national origin, political views, religious or philosophical beliefs, health status, intimate life, or biometric personal data.
5.3. If the User independently provides additional information not requested by the Operator, such information is processed only to the extent necessary to handle the request.

Legal Grounds for Personal Data Processing
7.1. The legal grounds for processing personal data are:

- performance of the Terms of Service and provision of Service functionality;
- exercise of the Operator's rights and legitimate interests, provided the User's rights and freedoms are not infringed;

Geolocation
9.1. The Service may use geolocation data to display weather forecasts based on the User's current location.
9.2. Access to geolocation is only obtained with the User's permission granted via the browser, mobile application, operating system, or device settings.
9.3. The User may decline geolocation or revoke a previously granted permission in the browser, mobile application, or operating system settings.
9.4. If geolocation is declined, the User may continue using the Service by manually selecting a city or location, where such functionality is available.
9.5. The Operator processes geolocation data only to the extent necessary to provide weather information and related features.
Push Notifications
10.1. Pogoda.ru mobile applications may use push notifications to inform the User about weather, forecast changes, weather warnings, and other Service-related events.
10.2. To send push notifications, the push token of the device or application may be processed.
10.3. Push notifications are sent only with the User's permission granted in the mobile application or operating system settings.
10.4. The User may disable push notifications in the mobile application or operating system settings.
10.5. Third-party services, including Google Firebase / Firebase Cloud Messaging, may be used for the technical delivery of push notifications, if they are actually integrated into the Service.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
11.1. When using the pogoda.ru website, the Operator may use cookies and similar technologies.
11.2. Cookies may be used for:
- ensuring the operation of the website;
- saving user settings;
- storing the selected city or region;
- analyzing site traffic and usage;
- improving interface and functionality;

- measuring advertising effectiveness;

12.4. The scope and manner of data processing by third-party services may be governed by their own rules, privacy policies, and terms of use.
12.5. The Operator takes reasonable measures to use third-party services in compliance with the personal data legislation of the Russian Federation.
Transfer of Personal Data to Third Parties
13.1. The Operator may transfer or grant access to personal data to third parties in the following cases:

14.4. The Operator carries out cross-border transfer of personal data on lawful grounds and in compliance with Article 12 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ "On Personal Data."
14.5. Prior to initiating cross-border transfer, the Operator fulfils the required actions under Russian law, including notifying the supervisory authority where required.
Localization of Personal Data of Russian Federation Citizens
15.1. When collecting personal data of Russian Federation citizens, including via the Internet, the Operator ensures that recording, organization, accumulation, storage, clarification, and retrieval of such personal data is performed using databases located in the Russian Federation, in the cases and manner required by applicable law.
15.2. Subsequent transfer of personal data, including cross-border transfer, may be carried out on lawful grounds and in compliance with applicable law.
15.3. The use of foreign services, SDKs, or technical components does not relieve the Operator of the obligation to comply with Russian personal data localization requirements.
Retention Periods for Personal Data
16.1. Personal data is processed and stored no longer than necessary to achieve the purposes of processing, unless a longer period is established by law, agreement, User consent, or this Policy.
16.2. Indicative retention periods for individual data categories:

After the purposes of processing are achieved, retention periods expire, consent is withdrawn, or unlawful processing is identified, personal data shall be blocked, deleted, or destroyed as required by applicable law.
User Rights
17.1. The User has the right to:
- receive information about the processing of their personal data;
- request clarification, blocking, or destruction of personal data if it is incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, unlawfully obtained, or no longer necessary for the stated processing purpose;
- withdraw consent to the processing of personal data;
- request the cessation of personal data processing in cases provided by law;
- appeal against the Operator's actions or inaction to the supervisory authority for the protection of personal data subjects' rights or to a court;
- exercise other rights provided by the legislation of the Russian Federation.

18.4. A response to the request is provided in the manner and within the timeframes prescribed by the legislation of the Russian Federation.
Withdrawal of Consent to Personal Data Processing
19.1. The User may withdraw consent to personal data processing by submitting a request to the Operator at: info@pogoda.ru.
19.2. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal was received.
19.3. Upon receiving a withdrawal, the Operator shall cease processing personal data processed on the basis of such consent, except where continued processing is permitted by applicable law.
19.4. The User may also independently restrict the processing of certain categories of data by:
- disabling geolocation in browser, mobile application, or operating system settings;
- disabling push notifications in mobile application or operating system settings;
- restricting cookie use in browser settings;
- changing advertising identifier settings in the device operating system;
- deleting the mobile application.
Personal Data Protection Measures
20.1. The Operator takes necessary legal, organizational, and technical measures to protect personal data against unlawful or accidental access, destruction, modification, blocking, copying, disclosure, dissemination, and other unlawful actions.
20.2. Such measures may include:
- appointing a person responsible for organizing personal data processing;
- adopting internal policies on personal data processing;
- restricting access to personal data;
- using antivirus protection;
- using firewalls;
- applying authentication and access control;
- using secure HTTPS / SSL / TLS connections;
- controlling access to information systems;
- recording and handling personal data subject requests;
- assessing potential harm to personal data subjects;

20.3. The Operator takes measures necessary and sufficient to fulfil the obligations set out in Articles 18.1 and 19 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ "On Personal Data."
Anonymized and Statistical Data
21.1. The Operator may process anonymized and aggregated data about Service usage to analyze traffic, improve the interface, evaluate feature performance, fix errors, prepare statistics, and develop the Service.
21.2. Anonymized and aggregated data does not allow the identification of a specific User without additional information.
21.3. Processing of anonymized data may be carried out using analytics and statistical services.
Data of Minors
22.1. The Service is not specifically designed to collect personal data of minors.
22.2. If the Operator becomes aware that personal data of a minor was provided without the required consent of a legal representative, the Operator will take reasonable steps to delete such data or cease its processing, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Amendment of the Policy
23.1. The Operator may amend this Policy.
23.2. A new edition of the Policy takes effect from the moment it is published on the pogoda.ru website, unless a different effective date is specified in the new edition.
23.3. The User is responsible for independently monitoring changes to this Policy.
